Give your hair the Royal treatment with one of these hot off the runway styles, recommended by Celebrity Hair Stylist, Michael Douglas.
Everyone’s talking about Princess hair
Step-by-step
-
1. STEP 1
Apply an egg-sized amount of mousse to damp just-washed hair. Comb through with a vent brush to evenly distribute the product for a smooth result.
-
2. STEP 2
Blast hair with a hairdryer, moving hair all the time to create volume. "If you dry hair in one place, it can end up stiff and dry looking," explains Michael. When dry, brush away from your face with a bristle brush to smooth flyaway strands and deliver a Princess worthy finish.
-
3. STEP 3
Using Large Heated Tongs, take 2-inch sections and wrap hair around the barrel, wrapping clockwise and anticlockwise alternatively. "If you curl all in the same direction, it looks unnatural. It's much softer and modern to mix it up," says Michael. Give hair a light brush.
-
4. STEP 4
Part hair to the side in a diagonal line from the temple to the crown. "This creates a more balanced and flattering look," suggests Michael. Tie hair into a low ponytail, just below the ear, on the opposite side to your parting. You should be able to see it from the front.
-
5. STEP 5
Now, pin the ends of the ponytail in small sections, all the way around to create a loose, wavy bun. Spray with Tously Me Softly Hairspray, to hold in place. "This is a quick look that's elegant yet modern," explains Michael.
I love the messy up do, it is elegant yet reachable.
